Canadian Pacific Railway Wine Stand with Bucket
(an extremely rare item– circa 1930's – bought directly from CPR in the 1970's)
CPR exited the passenger train business in the early 1970's. They sold all of their silverware used in their dining cars through their own retail shop "CP Bygones".
This wine stand with its bucket was used in dining car service. The stand is silver plated with a 'Canadian Pacific' script on bottom of the stand (see photo #5). The wine bucket is stainless steel and has some staining in the bottom of the bucket (could be cleaned with metal cleaner). Believe there were crests originally on two sides of the bucket but have been removed. Thus, small markings remain on either side of the bucket but aren't very apparent from any distance (see photo #4). Stand measures 19" high and bucket is 8" high and 8" in diameter.
