Seaboard Coast Lines Metal Sign

(circa: 1970's)

This sign was found on SCL railroad structures such as stations or freight depots. It is in excellent shape with the only minor damage located around some of the mounting holes. It is painted on metal and is 22" in diameter. There are eleven mounting holes around the outer edge and there are some minor scratches around some of the mounting holes and a couple of very minor scratches on the 'S' on the SCL. This is not a reproduction but original from the railroad.

The Seaboard Coast Line Railroad (SCL) was a former Class I railroad whose lines were located in the Southeastern United States beginning in 1967. It had two divisions: passenger and freight.  Its passenger division was taken over by Amtrak in 1971 when all passenger trains were brought under the Amtrak umbrella.  Its freight division became part of the CSX Transportation Company in 1983.
